YouTube Shorts format 9:16

I would like to create YT shorts vertical, and have all my horizontal originals automatically zoom to long edge and centered on the stage horiz and vertic.

Any workflow to do this?

Secondarily, maybe position in random places (but full image) on the stage - I’m doing a quick “shorts” effect.

And can we SAVE all settings for next project?

Thanks,
Scott

Not sure I follow on the “…like to create YT shorts vertical…” but then you want your horizontal images automatically zoomed horz and vert. In any case, for that last part, after creating a presentation, go to the main menu Slideshow > Animation Assistant… and set Horizontal Image to “Fit to Stage” – that forces the long edge (the horizontal) to fit the top and bottom, and vertical sides fall where they fall.

As for the “workflow” just make the above setting and drag your images to the timeline.

As for “random” positioning of images, there is no feature for that. You could set up a snippet where you place images manually on the stage at random positions for each slide, maybe for say ten or twenty images, and then use that snippet multiple times. Just drag images into the snippet and they will take on whatever parameters you have set in the snippet. After the first set of images (for example the first 10) the placement will repeat again (so it’s really NOT “random”) – but after 10 images or so, it might appear that way to the viewer.

All settings you make in one presentation should be carried over to the next presentation, since the settings are stored in the .plist file after you save a project.

Hope that sorta helps…
