Hello everyone,
I’m experiencing a recurring issue with mimoLive during local recordings at our TV station (TV Connect USA).
Whenever we’re recording locally, if I press something random — most often a lower third graphic (GC) or an audio track — the recording suddenly stops. It happens frequently, and it’s becoming a serious problem during production.
Setup details:
Computer: Mac mini (M4, 2025)
Recording location: Local drive (not external)
Typical layers active: multiple lower thirds (GC), audio tracks, and switcher control via mimoLive
I’ve already checked storage space and system performance — everything looks normal. mimoLive keeps running normally, but the recording just stops without any error message.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Is there a known bug or workaround?
Any guidance from the Boinx team would be greatly appreciated — this is affecting our daily operations.
I tried this 6.16b, and we had an other big problem. I wanted to share an issue I experienced with mimoLive version 16.b1. When I start a recording, the software begins to decrease the “remaining recording time”, even though my machine has plenty of free space on the internal drive. After a few minutes, mimoLive eventually freezes the entire system, forcing me to stop everything.
I rolled back to the previous beta version, and everything worked normally again. The recording didn’t stop unexpectedly, and the issue with the shrinking remaining time didn’t happen.
Thanks, Oliver, for the suggestion — going back a version solved it for now.
