I a recent Animation Graduate I have a Nikon D40 (DSLR) that I am using with iStop motion 2, and I understand that there is no Live Preview mode and you have to import frames using the preview button manually? I was just wondering what would be the best camera of the Nikon range that allows live preview and also saves time on the importing part too?
I am planning on upgrading anyway, I just wanted to know the cameras in that range or similar that people would recommend? Thanks
The current version of iStopMotion 2.8.4 don’t support live preview of any DSLR camera I am afraid. The capture duration is highly depending on the compression time in the camera, saving to the local memory card and the transfer rate via USB. It helps if you select a low resolution in you camera for your images.
