Version 6.12 - July, 2025

  • New: Added cropping parameter for the source in the Source With Distortion layer.
  • New: Added shortcut to join a Zoom demo meeting to be able to explore mimoLive’s Zoom integration.
  • New: Added “Frosted Glass” as another background option in the News Crawler layer.
  • New: Automation Layer: The script step getJSONData() now accepts index numbers to get an element of an array.
  • Enhancement: Fixed some user interface glitches.
  • Enhancement: Fixed the order of the sources in grid layouts in Split Screen layer.
  • Fix: For specific video devices the capture resolution wasn’t restored correctly at first launch of mimoLive.
  • Fix: Layer Set actions may not have been restored correctly if the layer stack became corrupted.
  • Fix: Crash when pasting a layer into an empty document.
  • Fix: Crash when using a Key & Fill source on a Mac with no video hardware connected.
  • Fix: The preconfigured button layouts of the Split Screen layer didn’t work on the Remote Control Surface.
  • Fix: The Web Capture Source did not properly restore custom window dimensions after relaunching mimoLive.
  • Fix: In layer parameters, an X or Y pixel value may have glitched to a smaller number after confirming the edit.

Greetings! I experience one evil. Applying Remove Background to any input source on my Mac in 6.2 causes hard crash. Example - “Mac No Back Source” = Video /Video Device Facetime HD Camera/Apply Remove Background. Placer: Video Source : MacNoBack. Turn placer layer on and program dies. Reverted to 6.11 for now.

Hi @JJC Can you please check the Debug-Preferences to see if you have YUV conversion turned off?

Press the option key while going to the mimoLive menu to get to “Debug Preferences”.

Then select “Debug” from the icon bar and switch to the “General” tab and make sure the “Enable YUV Conversion for Video Sources” is turned on.
