mimoLive Reporter - Select Camera in app

I have the paid plan for mimoLive Reporter on iOS. Is there a way to select one of the three cameras I have on my iPhone 12? In the iOS camera app, they’re 1x, 2x and .5x, but I can’t find a way to change it in the mimoLive Reporter app.

Hi @mijealab Thanks for sticking with mimoLive Reporter. There are currently no plans to add this feature. Sadly, there is not enough demand for mimoLive Reporter to keep supporting it.

What are you using it for?

I’m sorry to hear you’re that you’re not going to develop it any further. It’s a fantasic way to connect additional cameras to the live stream events I produce for our school.

Here’s the latest application for our graduation ceremony. I had three cameras setup: one over Thunderbolt, and two PTZ NDI cameras, but I was missing one view that I wanted to capture, so I attached my old iPhone to the balcony railing in the center of the auditorium for this perspective:

…and I also use it in the press box during halftime and postgame of our (American-)football games: https://www.youtube.com/live/IPvAcDI38kk?si=d7MOCJYO8x-_7Zek&t=3408

I even used it for our homecoming parade coverage, streaming this from my phone:

Again, it’s a great way to use some older iPhones/iPads that I had laying around to capture some perspectives that make the livestream more compelling. If you have a different or better way to use those devices with mimoLive, I’d love to hear your (or anyone’s) recommendations!

Wow, very cool!

mimoCall now has a web client that you can open on those devices.

You can also use Zoom which would allow you to talk back to the students operating the camera.
