Manually Designate Point of Interest?

I like the new AI feature of FM 6 - it usually does a great job of selecting where zooms should point to. However, when it chooses poorly, is there a way for me to tell FM manually where the “Point of Interest” should be?

Not sure if this answers your question – after the AI+ feature has selected the location, just drag the image a bit and you’ll see the small white focus circle. Move the image so the circle is over where you want it to be. Or, you can click and drag the circle to where you want it. There’s a balance between the two movements – you move the image, the circle can move. You move the circle, the image can move. Play with it until you get what you want.

Hope that helps (a bit confusing, maybe, though)…

That’s very helpful! Is this documented anywhere?

Try looking here:

and then scrolling down to the “Focus of Attention” section.

I believe, just by playing around with it, that you have to do what I suggested before if you start out using the AI+ assist – that is, move the image a bit to bring up the small which focus circle, and then make your adjustments.
