It would be nice to be able to navigate to a folder of your own choosing in Libraries to select a folder that is not in the Pictures folder. As a professional photographer, I don’t keep any of my work photos in the Pictures folder. In fact, many times they are on external hard drives. The ability to see those photos in the Images pane would be invaluable. I tried putting both an alias and a symbolic link into the Pictures folder, and while the folder name appears under the Pictures folder in the Images pane, none of the photos show up.
Select “Images” in the toolbar, then just drag whatever folder you are using to hold your images into the upper right section where it shows Libraries and Folders. You should now be able to access all photos in that folder. Hope that helps…
