Keyboard glitch when sharing via AirDrop/email

Recently, I discovered a glitch in the iStopMotion app where, when sharing a movie via AirDrop or email, the keyboard pushes the app’s UI upwards and makes the UI unreachable. The only solution is to force close the app and reopen it.

This appeared upon upgrading to iOS 26, and I believe it’s connected to the keyboard’s “slide up/down” animation. When the keyboard appears, the UI slides upwards in the background, but when the keyboard is minimized, the UI stays pushed upwards. Since AirDropping to an unknown device now asks for a passcode, it affects that sharing method too.

We use iStopMotion daily in our museum to teach kids how to do stop motion animation, and we regularly recommend it to our guests as a simple way to get started animating alongside their kids. Other alternatives on the app store are too feature-rich and complicated.

We usually keep our iPads in Guided Access mode to restrict guests to iStopMotion, but since this glitch has appeared, we have to manually reset the app each time and take the iPads in and out of Guided Access mode throughout the day.

Is there any chance anyone is still maintaining iStopMotion, and would be able to find a fix for this issue?
