Curious of moving from Thunderbolt to USB 3, but wanted to see if anyone had any experience with them.

The advantage of USB 3 is obviously that there is a USB class driver maintained and supported by Apple which will always be up to date with the OS.
The disadvantage is that there is an additional protocol level in the communication which may lead to more bandwidth needs for the same video signal. We did not test how many USB 3 capture devices can be used at the same time.
How many cameras do you want to connect simultaneously?
We are looking at 3 cameras.
