Fix needed Asap, can we push MIMO to the next level?

Good morning MimoLive Team,

I would like to submit a few important requests and one urgent bug report based on my current live production workflow.

1. Urgent Bug Report: MimoLive 6.18b5 Beta 5 Video Plugin Crash

I am currently using MimoLive 6.18b5 Beta 5, and there seems to be a serious issue with some video plugins.

For example, when I open the Color Correction video plugin on my main camera source, MimoLive crashes completely. This happens when trying to apply or open Color Correction on the camera/video source.

This is a major issue because color correction is a basic and important part of live production. Right now, this makes the beta version unstable for serious use.

Please investigate and fix this urgently before the stable release.

2. Advanced Audio Mixer Inside MimoLive

It would be extremely helpful if MimoLive had a stronger built-in audio mixer.

Some useful features would be:

EQ on each audio input
Compressor
Limiter
Upward and downward compression
Better gain staging
Support for third-party audio plugins such as AU/VST
More professional control over microphones, music, and live sources directly inside MimoLive

This would reduce the need to route everything through other apps just to get proper audio control.

3. Audio Ducking in the Playlist Layer

It would also be very helpful to have audio ducking built directly into the Playlist Layer.

For example, if music is playing from the Playlist Layer and the host begins speaking, the music should automatically duck under the microphone.

Suggested features:

Ducking controls inside the Playlist Layer
One or multiple audio sources can trigger ducking
Option to group multiple trigger sources
Adjustable ducking amount
Adjustable attack and release timing

This would be very useful for live shows, teaching sessions, church services, and music-based productions.

4. MIDI Mapping / External Controller Support

Please consider improving MIDI mapping and external controller support.

It would be very useful to control MimoLive with external hardware buttons or MIDI controllers.

Useful actions would include:

Triggering layers
Switching scenes
Starting and stopping playlist items
Triggering lower thirds
Triggering graphics
Muting and unmuting audio sources
Starting and stopping recordings or outputs

This would make live production much smoother without needing to click everything manually.

5. One-Click Output Orientation Toggle

It would be helpful to have a quick way to switch output orientation between:

Landscape
Portrait
Vertical social media format

This would be useful for sending content to platforms that require vertical video, such as TikTok, Instagram, and other mobile-first platforms.

6. Web Browser Source Improvements: Audio, Tabs, Google Meet, and Video.Ninja

The Web Browser Source needs major improvement, especially with audio support.

Right now, if I load a YouTube video inside the Web Browser Source, I can see the video, but I cannot get the audio from the YouTube video. That is a major limitation.

For comparison, in OBS, when you add a browser source and play a YouTube video, you can get both video and audio from that browser source. MimoLive should have similar audio implementation for the Web Browser Source.

This would also be very useful for tools like:

YouTube
Google Meet
Video.Ninja
Other browser-based guest/video tools

For example, I may want to open Google Meet inside the Web Browser Source and bring in a speaker directly from there. Or I may want to use Video.Ninja by pasting an individual guest URL into the Web Browser Source and receiving both audio and video.

At the moment, because the Web Browser Source does not support audio properly, this workflow is not practical.

Requested improvements:

Add audio capture/support for the Web Browser Source
Allow browser audio to appear as a usable audio source in MimoLive
Allow control over volume/mute for browser audio
Support multiple browser tabs or browser instances
Improve support for Google Meet inside the browser source
Improve support for Video.Ninja individual guest links
Allow both audio and video from browser-based sources

This would make MimoLive much more powerful for remote guests, online meetings, interviews, live reactions, teaching sessions, and browser-based media playback.

7. Grid Overlay and Snap-to-Grid Tools

Please consider adding better layout and alignment tools.

Useful features would include:

Optional grid overlay
Snap-to-grid
Center guidelines
Equal spacing guides
Alignment guides
Better source positioning tools

This would help users build cleaner layouts for cameras, graphics, lower thirds, scriptures, slides, and teaching visuals.

8. Updated iPhone Device Support

Please consider adding updated iPhone device frames and profiles.

Requested device profiles:

iPhone 15 Pro Max
iPhone 16 Pro Max
Future iPhone 17 Pro Max
Custom phone/device frames

This would be very useful for mobile app demos, vertical content previews, and modern phone-screen layouts.

9. Digital Whiteboard / Teaching Visual Workflow

It would be great to have better support for live teaching visuals.

Useful features would include:

Digital whiteboard tools
Drawing and writing on screen
Timeline teaching visuals
Scripture or text annotation
Easy integration with camera, overlays, and slides

This would be especially helpful for Bible studies, teaching sessions, online classes, and live presentations.

Closing

MimoLive is already a powerful live production tool, but these improvements would make it much stronger for professional live streaming, remote guests, browser-based workflows, music, teaching, and multi-platform broadcasting.

Thank you for your work and for considering these requests.

Best regards,
Judah Peters
