Using FM 6.8, I am finding that the “Fill Stage” option is producing the same results as “Fit to Stage” and I can’t figure out why this is happening.
Also, it seems that is earlier versions of FM, the “footprint” of the image on a slide would remain the same size - zooming in/out would just change the content of the image. Now I am finding that the margins (=size) of the slide change as I zoom in/out. How do I change this?

The “Fill Stage” and “Fit to Stage” functions seem to be working for me. If I drag an image into the Timeline it automatically defaults to “Fit to Stage” as set from the main menu Slideshow > Animation Assistant… options dialog box. If I do a Right-click on an image and choose “Fill Stage” it zooms the image in to maximize either the horizontal or vertical dimensions of the stage depending on the longest side of an image.
As for your discussion about the “footprint” of an image on a slide – I’m not following your explanation. You say “now you’re finding that the margins (=size) of the slide change as you zoom in/out”. The slide size itself shouldn’t change at all on screen. It’s set based on your Slideshow > Settings… > Stage Format size and can’t change. But obviously any image on a slide will enlarger or shrink as you zoom that image in or out. I guess I’m not visualizing what you’re asking. Sorry…
