I have about 6 slideshows that I created in FM5 6-8 years ago. When I tried to play several of them, I got the following message: “Slideshow is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash”. However, some of the slideshows will still play. Since this has never happened before, I am at a loss as to how I can retrieve the slideshows.Please help!! Thank you.
I understand you are referring to the standalone player versions of your slideshows. To convert these files back to a FotoMagico slideshow document, you can use the Finder’s Info Box to change their extension from “.app” to “.fms”. This will allow you to transform the standalone player app back to a slideshow document. Select the file in Finder and hit command-I on the keyboard to get to the Info Box.
Once you’ve done this, you can use the FotoMagico 6 app to open and play the slideshow. This process is free and should help you view your slideshows easily.
