Can anyone export a movie?

Has anyone been able to successfully export their slide show as ANY kind of movie using a recent version of PhotoMagico on a Mac running Mountain Lion (OS 10.8)?

I’ve tried several times to export my slide show as video (iPad, AppleTV, DVD, ProRes, Custom), and the process always fails at the second step (Rendering Video) with the error:
“Export Failed. The export process has terminated unexpectedly. Please contact technical support.”

Which I did - but still no reply from FotoMagico, almost two weeks later.

My slideshow contains a few short videos as well as animated stills, titles, soundtrack, etc. Does anyone know if there are certain kinds of audio formats, or sample rates, or video frame rates, or whatever - which can doom a movie export to fail?

I’m guessing my failure is probably due to QuickTime not liking some of my project files rather than PhotoMagico not working as promised, but I would to confirm that by hearing from someone who can tell me that exporting a slideshow to video has worked for them.

So, no one can report successfully exporting a video? Doesn’t sound good.

I just tested a simple project in FotoMagico v.4.6.2 - no audio, no titles, no movie clips - I just dragged 129 slides from an iPhoto Event into FotoMagico, let FM apply default transitions, then tried to Share (export) for iPad. At the “Rendering Video” step I got:
“Export Failed. The export process has terminated unexpectedly. Please contact technical support.”

Tried a Custom Video export - same result.

So I am revising my theory from “flawed project” to “flawed software”

Can anyone confirm or deny?

I did finally get a reply from the support team, asking for more information - but so far no solutions. Other than suggesting I upgrade to v.4.6.3 - which I assume was a typo, right? Does anyone have have a version higher than 4.6.2?
