MimoLive 3.0b2 + Macbook pro 15, i7 2,6, 2016, 16Gb, Radeon 450 + Sierra 10.12.6 + Ethernet 100mbt

0. Stream to facebook, 4mbits

  1. Automatically start rec h.264 + start stream
  2. It is periodically dropped FPS 15
  3. Stoped rec
  4. It is periodically dropped FPS 15
  5. Smth wrong with upload speed meter (4-26 mbit)

Test 3

  1. Automatically start rec Apple ProRes 422 HQ + start stream
  2. No dropped FPS
  3. Upload speed meter (4mbit)

Activity Monitor (all processes) in all tests is less 90%

@did Thanks for the report. On the Mac, macOS currently only supports one h.264 hardware encoder. If you stream and record both in h.264, there will be one video stream encoded by the hardware encoder and the other by the macOS h.264 software encoder. Unfortunately, the software encoder has abysmal performance, so we recommend to use h.264 for only the stream and record in ProRes. Although it generates really big files the advantage is that if you want to edit in Final Cut Pro, there will not be a conversion necessary.

thanks, but why when i stopped rec, it continued drop fps ?
