During our last streaming, we experienced a phenomenon of bubbles with a «like-hand» (see printscreen). This was always sent out to Program Out as one of many PIP window layers was activated.
Any idea from where this could come from?
Hi @Andy-R Thanks for reaching out with this issue!
This is a “feature” of MacOS. It recognises the hand gesture of the woman on the right (which looks like a thumbs up) and adds the “Reaction”. There are a number of reactions that you can add to your video this way.
In MacOS Sequoia (and maybe in the latest Sonoma), you can turn this off in the green camera menu:
Are you using the mimoLive Virtual Camera to send the video from mimoLive to another app?
Or are you using a USB camera or capture device or a virtual camera as input to mimoLive?
The effect is added to any of those. It is not added to other sources and outputs such as NDI or Blackmagic devices.
Many thanks for this hint! That was the solution and also reason why it only occured on our streaming MacBook but not on out others while testing…
Yes, we’re using USB capture cards to receive camera image for processing in mimoLive.
So thanks again & have a good one
Andy
Hi @Andy-R I’m glad we could solve it!
