Audio track extended past its end in Timeline refuses to loop...

This was mentioned under a discussion named “AUDIO” a few days ago, but it might have gotten lost. If an audio track is brought in and the right edge (the end of the track) is dragged to the right to extend it further, the “loop” icon is displayed, put when the show is presented the audio track plays only ONCE and then is silent from then on. If the slideshow is stopped and the playback head is manually moved back somewhere within the second loop and then playback is started from there, the audio seems to play from that point, but if there’s a third loop, the audio again silences and doesn’t play when the third loop is supposed to start. I’ve tried this a few times and I get the same result.

To add to the above, I know the easiest workaround is to just add the same track again right after the first one, but that’s not the way it has worked before.
