Arrow navigating in the Media Browser window -- bug?

I found this issue after running the new 6.7.5b1 version, but it’s the same in the 6.7.4 released version as well. Don’t know how far back this issue goes. Running Sequoia 15.0.1 on Intel MacBook Pro.

I didn’t notice this before, but when in the Media Browser window and you select images using the arrow keys, you can only move left and right from the first image in a row to the last image in the same row – and you’re stuck :frowning: You have to arrow up or down to the previous or next rows if that’s how you’re navigating in the window.

In other words, arrow scrolling doesn’t “wrap around” from one row to the next.

Also, if the last row of images has less than the row above, if you get to the last image of the last row and then arrow right, the selected image (highlighted in yellow) becomes the image to the right AND one row above the last row. This doesn’t make GUI sense

Can this be confirmed – and possibly fixed? Thanks…

Hi Stan,

That arrow key selection behaviour is supplied by the OS. I’m not sure whether it has always been like this, or whether Apple changed it over time.

I will have to investigate whether I can override the default behaviour and achieve what you want.

HI, Peter –

Thanks. Just as an FYI, if in Adobe Bridge, for example, and viewing a folder of images, moving to the right with the arrow key past the last image in a row on the right DOES take you to the left-most image on the next row down (i.e., just like reading a book).

Hi Stan, will be implemented in next release…

Wondered why no one else has commented on that before. Thanks, Peter
