Anyone knows a good way / product to mount my iPhone 5 for capture facing down?

Hi, I’m new to the software, but I’m happy to report that it is easy to use and I love it! The only problem is that I am having trouble setting up a robust capture station. I love 2D animation, so I want to set up my station with my camera facing down onto my drawing station. Does anyone know a good way / product to mount an iPhone? Thanks

You may want to have a look at our iStopMotion iPad Accessory Suggestion Page here:

Even if there isn’t the ultimate solution for your problem it might be a good overview on what’s out there.

When mounting an iPhone on top of a desk to capture 2D animations, please consider the following:

  • Make sure that you can access the touch screen without removing the iPhone from its stand, because you may have to setup certain settings (e.g. Wifi connection) and don’t want to lose position of your iPhone.
  • make sure that your stand supports connecting your iPhone to a docking cable in order to keep the iPhone powered. iStopCamera is sucking a lot of energy ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KU8Q9FRRb4o  )
  • Try to get the stand as stiff as possible, because you may accidentally bump into it while working on your 2D animation desk.
