Would you advice retire my old workhorse Mac pro 5.1 and upgrade to new Mac Mini M1?

I love it, but is pretty heavy and hard to move. I’m looking for portability.
I’m using an M1 and I love it. Much more capable machine than my 2014 MBP.
Why not order one from Apple. Test out your setup and if it’s not suitable return it within the return period.
I originally got an 8GB model but returned it for the 16GB. Apple were totally okay with me doing that.
Sounds like a Mac Mini M1 would be a good upgrade in your case. You need to get the 16GB because it has a unified RAM meaning there is no extra RAM for video.
Remember that you’ll need an external PCIe enclosure for the DeckLink Duo 2.

After a creepy decklink duo 2 firmware update due new BM video desktop, all seems be working ok with ML 6b5
I did a little test 720p59.94 capturing 2 sources, switching, recording, streaming and sdi playout and no dropped frames.
