Enhancement for Screen Capture + Web Browser sources (6.6b7)

Hello, fellow mimoLive enthusiasts! How are you doing?

Here is a quick question to the team. Version 6.6b7 has been announced in late February with a specific change that caught my attention:

“Enhancement: Changed capture technology for Screen Capture Source and Web Browser Source to be more efficient.”

Does this change also apply to the Window Capture source?

The reason I’m asking is because I have noticed, in previous versions, that the Window Capture source seems to be the most demanding in terms of CPU usage when compared to both the Screen Capture source and the Web Browser source. So it would be great if these efficiency gains targeted the Window Capture source as well, especially for those of us who have Intel-based Macs and don’t have multiple monitors!

Gustavo, thank you for your excellent feature request! Yes, the Window Capture Source benefits from the new capture technology by Apple. However, the Web Browser Source is based on a different approach, and this won’t change in mimoLive 6.6.
