No Video for BOINX only sound

I’m trying Boinx before buying it. However, I spent a lot of money just to try it out and haven’t gotten it to work yet. Here’s what I’m using…

Mac Pro 2009
3 Firewire cards (6 pin)
3 Canon HV 40 (4 pin)

At first I thought it might be the firewire. BOINX recommends 4 to 9 pin Firewire instead of the 4 to 6 I’m using, but the cameras work with other programs (IMOVIE) just not BOINX.

ANY AND ALL HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED! I need to have this up and running in the next few days.

The connector doesn’t matter. If the cards have 6 pin connectors, just get 4 pin to 6 pin cables and you are fine.

If the HV40 is set to HDV mode, the AppleHDV QuickTime component is required. It only comes with FinalCut Pro, or Logic. It is not understandable why Apple doesn’t include it into the OS.
