In Mac OS X 10.6.4 Apple introduced support for remote controlling Canon DSLRs. The Mac OS X 10.6.5 update broke that support again. With iStopMotion 2.8, support for using Canon DSLRs for capturing stop motion movies or time lapse movies is coming back. Check it out at boinx.com/istopmotion/beta/
Second beta is out, we’re looking forward to your feedback regarding Canon capturing capabilities! boinx.com/istopmotion/beta/
Doesn’t seem to work too well. The first picture is taken but nothing happens with the next ones, just the “Capturing one Frame” dialog. The software doesn’t hang but Force Quite seems to be the best way to get out from the dialog. Same result if doing manual capture or trying to do a Time Lapse.
