green screen or quicktime error

Hi
I have problems with recording in boinx. Not every time, but often the recording only shows a green screen with some “snow.” Other times it’s not possible to open the file and when I begin to record it says "quicktime error 1214. I don’t think it is a data flow problem, because when I make a simple recording with the build in quicktime camera and only one single placer layer, it also happens once in a while (out of 10 recordings 3 are the green type) . And then sometimes it just work find.
Can anybody help me??

I’m having exactly the same problem with the green screen with ‘snow’… Though not necessarily the quicktime error 1214…

I’m running the Macbook Pro 15" 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 with 8GB of RAM… We are recording in SD with a Panasonic AG-DVX100B… A firewire line going from the camera into the MBP…

Anyone have solutions?

What codec did you chose as the recording codec? Click the clapperboard and choose codec to find out.
