Often it is impossible ending Fotomagico.

If you need to press the Power Switch to turn your computer off JUST to get out of FotoMagico, it sounds like there’s something more involved with your system than just the application itself. Otherwise, there would be a lot more people writing in about that particular issue.
Even if FM was causing a problem, you should be able to press CTRL-OPTION-ESC to do a Force Quit of just FotoMagico itself. Did you try that? You might need to run some system diagnostics to get to the root of the problem. Just my suggestion.
