2x mimolive for 2 different streams

hi !
is it alright to use mimolive in 2 instances on one machine ? does anyone use it this way ?
in general it seems to work (simple copy the app in applications), the video interfaces only work in one instance, wich is fine for me…

all ideas welcome ! best regards, chris

as an add on: wich mac hardware ?
an iMac i7 should be fine, i guess…

@chriscam Alternatively, you can just open two documents in one copy of mimoLive.

As to the hardware question: keep in mind when streaming that you’ll need one H.264 encoder per stream. The Mac only has one hardware encoder and falls back to a software encoder for the second stream. The software encoder doesn’t have very good performance.

Other than that, an iMac i7 is a great machine, but of course its power isn’t limitless…

thanks, too simple to figure out

copy that regarding the streams…

I’ve tested this on my Macbook Pro and done two simultaneous streams to Facebook. The test was to see if a client could stream in two languages.

thx jason ! i think about using a smaller mac and do the encoding for the streams using a matrox monarch hdx.
let´s see.
